GOOD DUCK RECORDS is an artist driven, community led record label who, through fundraising and private donations support, highlight, cross promote, and crowd-distribute the incredibly diverse and eclectic pool of extraordinary music of the Virgin Islands and beyond.
The Collective Mission of Music Masters Collective 501(c)3 and GOOD DUCK Records is to record and distribute the music of our artists and to foster community engagement, continuing education, preservation of musical legacies.
THE BACK STORY
Jared Warren and Allen Clapp co-founded GOOD DUCK in late 2024 when the groundswell of artists on St. John in the US Virgin Islands had amassed over 150 unreleased songs in Allen’s Coral Star Studio. These recordings from this (soon to be infamous) oceanfront recording studio illuminated the need to support the artists and release their songs. From a youth steel pan orchestra, to a seasoned reggae artist, to a space rock jam band, to a burgeoning country superstar or a young teen pop singer-songwriter — all of these performers share the common thread of being on a small island in the Caribbean and exhibiting exceptional talent and the desire to be heard. In 2025 Good Duck joined forces with Music Masters Collective 501(c)(3) as a natural evolution of our objectives and shared mission.
